Founded in 1980, Hamilton Tharp, LLP has assembled a team of top tax and accounting professionals to assist clients in reaching their financial and life goals. We are looking to hire a Tax Accountant with an ambitious drive and a desire to work in public accounting while pursuing their CPA certification. Our Senior Tax Accountants are given the opportunity to work closely with several of San Diego’s experts in tax and accounting.
A successful Staff Tax Accountant at Hamilton Tharp, LLP is able to perform a variety of accounting and tax tasks with minimal supervision. In this position, you will prepare corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns, assist clients with payroll compliance, and provide accurate financial insights. Additionally, you will review the work of interns and entry-level staff, ensuring accuracy and providing valuable feedback to support their growth.
This role requires proficiency in tax and accounting techniques, the ability to manage budgets, and effective communication within the firm. You will be responsible for interpreting data, staying updated on tax regulations, and monitoring work-in-progress to meet expectations. Applying knowledge of accounting principles and offering proactive client support are critical to the Firm’s reputation as a high-quality service provider.
